About Brad Howland

Brad Howland holds the Principal Trombone chair of the Victoria Symphony Orchestra, and has performed in the past with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the CBC Vancouver Orchestra, the Palm Court Orchestra, and the new music group Aventa Ensemble. In 2008 Brad was engaged for four weeks as a substitute player in the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. He is a member of the Beacon Hill Brass, performing on both euphonium and trombone.

Brad worked as an income tax preparer for H&R Block, National Money Mart’s Income Tax Department, and Fladar & Greene Chartered Accountants before forming Howland Tax Services in 1992. Howland Tax Services prepares personal and corporate income tax returns for Canada and the United States. 30 years of collective experience in the field of income tax preparation, coupled with a sincere commitment to clients, has helped Howland Tax Services develop many long-lasting relationships. Brad is a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals.

A graduate of Northwestern University and the University of British Columbia, Brad has taught on the faculties of the Comox Valley Youth Music Centre, the Victoria Conservatory of Music, the Marrowstone Music Festival, and the University of Victoria. He is a member of the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN).

Brad is a Certified HTML and JavaScript Developer. He has built and currently maintains several web sites, and is interested in additional web development work.
